John 15:18-25 The World’s Hatred
18 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.
As a child of Christ, you are not of this world! Since you are not of this world, the unsaved world is afraid of you because you interfere with their definition of fairness and equity. Face it, the world will hate you for standing up for biblical beliefs but know Jesus died on the cross for that belief.
If we come under persecution or we are cancelled or are called bigots or racist because of our faith, know that the reward for your faithfulness is in heaven, not of this world. Know that these people who wrongfully accuse you or try to cancel you or ruin you, they hate you because they hate to see Jesus in you, Again, remember that you are not of this world.
Jesus so loved the world that He came in the flesh and through His death and resurrection, gave us a path to salvation, a path your distractors refuse to take. Instead, they will blame you for their inability to live their lives as a victim and in the flesh. This is a spiritual battle that has raged on since Adam and Eve. Sadly, we may lose a few battles but the world does not understand that we, as aliens of this world, we can see the future. We are told how this war will end; Jesus wins! And those that are on His side will be rewarded.
As a Christian, you are on the winning team even if it does not seem like it now. Fight in the name of love, for they who hate Jesus without a cause will find our love towards their bitterness will be confusing to them. Use the parable theory, the path that Jesus took. Speak in truths and freedoms and maybe your vague explanation will lead to questions and then to seek more of what Jesus offers. The world may hate you and persecute you but know that Jesus will win. He is in the battle with you and will bring you to victory; that victory is rewarded with an eternity in heaven.
John 15:26-27 The Coming Rejection
In the next chapter, Jesus is about to warn the disciples, and us, about the coming persecution. But what is said in these last two verses of Chapter 15 is HUGE! The Helper, the Holy Spirit will dwell within all that believe in Jesus. The Holy Spirit living within you will guide and protect and comfort you in any persecution, even death. The Holy Spirit will give us hope and the right words for when we do the work of the Father and will put a heart of conviction in us for doing the right thing. The Holy Spirit is the GPS for our lives. We will get lost without Him but we will stay on the right path with Him. Life is hard, but God will be in you and with you through it all, and everyone knows support is critical in any hard time. Accept the Holy Spirit as your guide and your conscience.
The End- Dealing With My Own Rejection.
This will be my final post for a while. Although I will continue to write, I will not be presenting any further posts for a while. 10 months ago I decided to share my thoughts about how the bible has the answers to the problems we face in the world, but I could never catch any traction. Thank to the few of you that religiously (no pun intended) read my posts and provided feedback. You can always reach me by leaving a comment or reaching out to the author link that is on my profile page. Thank you and God bless America and those that protect her. Which, by the way starts with God.
